Stupid browser. lost an entry.
Okay. again...
Super busy with finishing up grad school, I take my comprehensive exam in the spring and graduate in May. But I'm done with classes now. So I haven't had a desire to write about much of anything, even the required writing.
Working out has been happening, things are a little different right now. I'm on vacation from school and everything so it's just different. I've been eating good, avoiding processed carbs during most of the week and enjoying a few on the weekends. Don't miss em really, now at least. And I feel less bloated.
Anyways, I will be trying to update a little more frequently again. But it may take a bit as I still don't feel like writing.
Hi Kimberly:)
I added your blog to remind me of what I used to look like, lol. I have gained about 50 lbs since moving to Cali and am looking to lose it. I'll never be a size 2/4 but I'll be happy in a 10.
I'm built like a football player so my frame won't allow anything below 170 lbs or so.
I'm looking at starting cardio with kettlebells, any ideas on something for a beginner?
I already eat well, with the occasional slip for Wendy's, but I am a veggie gal. I love sushi/veggie burgers, etc and I do my best to stay away from a lot of carbs, unless it's sushi :P
Here in San Diego, everyone is on a budget to just live, so I can't afford a personal trainer...*sigh*
Any help/suggestions you could offer would be appreciated :)

Welcome!!!
First I want to say, never underestimate your body. I myself when I began losing weight thought I could never be smaller than a 10, maybe an 8 if I was lucky. And now I'm a 2/4, I could get smaller but don't see a need obviously. I want more tone now.
Kettlebells are a lot of fun, but form is really important. The lighter the weight the easier it is to hurt yourself (crazy, right). I have a few kettlebell workouts posted already but can re-write a few out if you'd like. The video and booklet that come with the gofit bells is a really good place to start. Take 2-3 of those exercises and then tell youself I'm going to complete 10 reps of each, 3 rounds as fast as I can. TRUST ME, it's a cardio workout. :-) If that's too easy or hard modify.
Other than kettlebells, just doing those super basic exercises (push ups, sit ups/crunches, squats, lunges) will do amazing things for your body. Cardio is key to burning fat, but you want lean muscle mass too so that you can burn more calories all the time. :-)
Any questions, let me know.
